[HOWTO] Change window focus in Gnome 3

By default window focus is set to ‘click’ where a user must click in a window to gain it’s focus. This is far from optimal.

Switch up to root

su -
Password: xxxx

Install dconf-config, and editor.

yum -y install dconf-editor dconf-config

Then execute:

dconf-editor

Navigate to:
org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences

Scroll down to Focus Mode and change click to mouse

Quit app, log out, log back in
