[HOWTO] Hide VMWare Workstation Thumbnail Bar

By default, when hidden, a few of the bottom thumbnail bar lines remain visible. This is annoying when using an operating system with a menu bar at the top of the screen.

Do completely hide the window:

Edit->Preferences
Display tab
Uncheck Show toolbar edge when unpinned in full screen
